EDIT: I'm in the process of re-rendering this scene with up-to-date quality settings and more resolution.
I lost the original maps though (I do make backups, but for some reason these maps weren't included in them... grrr) so the updated version might look quite different in a positive way, I hope.
Also, thanks for everyone who posted constructive criticism and ideas for improvement. I'll take them in consideration when updating this :)

UPDATE!: Re-did the textures, made various fixes and rendered bigger. I hope you still like it!

This is almost perfect. The apple and the bottle are just fine the way they are. I think the "arm" of the corkscrew ought to be lowered ever so slightly so that it's in contact with the red cloth (it looks just a little like it's floating). As far as the cork goes, I think the texture needs to be more "holey" and not so fine. Just my two-cents. ^_^ Keep up the good work!

It's freaky how close 3D can get to real life. It's a great composition, but then you realize, it doesn't exist. Great job on this. The line between reality and rendering is just that much thinner now.

Wow! I am absolutely amazed by the photographic realism you've achieved with all the reflections and such. But I am even more impressed with your composition and artist representation of it all, truly shows there's more to your talent than basic 3d skills!
